In August 2026, a customer from the United States contacted us through Alibaba to inquire about our EBB and flow hydroponic system. The customer was planning to build a growing setup for large plants and wanted to design the supporting structure, water supply lines, and grow light arrangement independently according to their site conditions and cultivation requirements. For this project, the customer preferred to purchase the EBB flood trays separately and integrate them into a custom-built hydroponic system.
Based on the customer's requirements, we introduced the key features and applications of our EBB flood trays. Made from ABS material, the trays offer good structural strength and durability, making them suitable for growing larger plants that require reliable tray support. The EBB and flow irrigation method periodically floods the trays with nutrient solution before draining it away according to a set schedule. This process supplies water and nutrients to plant roots while reducing the need for frequent manual watering and making routine maintenance more convenient.
Purchasing the trays separately also gave the customer greater flexibility when designing the overall growing system. The trays could be integrated with a customized support structure, water circulation setup, and lighting equipment to match the planned growing space and project scale. After discussing and confirming the product specifications, the customer was satisfied with the tray quality and ultimately placed an order for a batch of EBB flood trays to build their own hydroponic system.
This project highlights the flexibility of EBB flood trays in customized hydroponic applications. For growers who prefer to plan their own equipment layout and combine different growing components, purchasing the core trays separately can be a practical way to create a system that fits their specific cultivation needs.
