Monstera plants can grow large and have relatively long growing cycles, creating higher requirements for growing space, system load capacity, and water management. A customer wanted to grow Monstera using hydroponics to improve growing efficiency and simplify daily management, with specific requirements for the size and structure of the EBB and Flow hydroponic system.
Based on the customer's growing requirements and available space, we designed a custom-size EBB hydroponic system. The EBB trays are made from durable ABS material, providing strong load-bearing capacity and long-term durability for growing larger plants such as Monstera. The overall system dimensions and growing rack structure can also be customized according to the customer's site, making it possible to use the available space efficiently while providing sufficient room for plant growth.
During daily cultivation, the EBB and Flow system uses timed flooding and draining cycles to deliver water and nutrients to the plant roots. This flood and drain hydroponic method reduces the need for frequent manual watering and makes long-term plant management more convenient. For Monstera with a longer growing cycle, the automated irrigation process also provides a practical way to maintain consistent growing conditions.
After discussing the design and confirming the product configuration, the customer approved the customized solution and ultimately purchased two sets of custom-size EBB hydroponic systems for Monstera growing. By customizing the system dimensions, trays, and growing rack structure according to the characteristics of the plants, the EBB and Flow hydroponic system can better adapt to the requirements of large ornamental plants and specialized indoor hydroponic growing projects.
