Commercial Vertical Hydroponic Tower System for High Yield Leafy Greens Farming in Australia

2026-04-14

During farm upgrades and expansion phases, many operators face a common challenge: how to increase production capacity with a relatively stable investment, without expanding land area.

An agricultural company located in Victoria, Australia, encountered the same challenge as its business continued to grow. To further expand its leafy green production, the company began searching for a more efficient and scalable growing solution that could support long-term expansion plans while maintaining land efficiency.

After comparing several options, the customer turned its attention to hydroponic growing, specifically the 8P10 hydroponic tower system. Designed with a vertical multi-layer structure, each 8P10 tower features 80 planting sites, enabling significantly higher planting density within a limited footprint. By extending the growing space vertically, the system effectively increases yield per square meter. In addition, the recirculating hydroponic design can reduce water consumption by up to 90% compared to traditional soil cultivation, an advantage that is particularly valuable under Australia’s relatively dry climate conditions.

Before making a larger investment, the customer conducted a small-scale trial using the 8P10 system, focusing on leafy greens and herbs such as lettuce and basil. Benefiting from the system’s stable and evenly distributed nutrient delivery, the crops demonstrated healthy growth, consistent cycles, and overall performance that met expectations. The trial successfully confirmed the system’s suitability for local environmental conditions.

Based on the positive test results, the customer proceeded to purchase 10 sets of 8P10 hydroponic tower systems, establishing a dedicated growing area. Under the current configuration, the system is expected to deliver approximately 800 plants per growing cycle, further strengthening overall production capacity.

Throughout the implementation process, we provided integrated logistics and technical support, including onetime shipment of the complete system and remote guidance. This support helped the customer optimize planting density and nutrient management according to local climate conditions. By introducing the hydroponic tower system, the customer achieved more efficient space utilization and more stable output, laying a solid foundation for future expansion.
