Vertical Hydroponic Farming from a Warehouse in Slovakia

As growers look for more efficient ways to produce fresh vegetables and specialty crops in limited spaces, indoor growing and vertical farming are attracting increasing attention across European markets. For growers who are new to hydroponics, starting with a small-scale trial in an existing space can be a practical way to gain experience before making larger investments.

A customer from Slovakia recently contacted us to discuss a vertical hydroponic growing project. The customer plans to grow a variety of crops, including leafy greens such as lettuce, basil, and strawberries, and wanted to test how different crops would perform under hydroponic growing conditions.

The initial trial will take place in a well-ventilated warehouse equipped with large fans to maintain good air circulation around the growing area. Since the customer also wants the system to be flexible enough for use in different locations in the future, we recommended a vertical hydroponic tower system with integrated grow lights, making it more suitable for indoor growing environments where natural light may vary.

For the initial stage, we recommended starting with the compact 4P6 hydroponic tower. Instead of investing in a large commercial hydroponic system immediately, beginning with a smaller model allows the customer to become familiar with hydroponic growing, observe crop performance, and gain practical experience. If the trial delivers satisfactory results and the project moves toward commercial production, larger hydroponic systems can be considered based on the required growing capacity.

Before making the decision, the customer carefully reviewed photos and videos from our previous projects, project solutions, and detailed information about our hydroponic towers. These real-world examples gave the customer a better understanding of our equipment and project experience, and the customer expressed strong confidence in our products and solutions.

The customer plans to purchase hydroponic tower systems for both personal and company testing, marking the beginning of their exploration into vertical hydroponic growing. What starts with a warehouse-based trial could provide valuable experience for applying vertical hydroponics across different growing locations and potentially developing a larger commercial project in the future.
