Prior to this, the client had been growing microgreens through a semi-automated growing system with manual irrigation, which was not only time-consuming and laborious, but also resulted in wasted water, rising operating costs and uneven growth of the microgreens, making it difficult to maintain a high-quality supply. The EBB and Flow hydroponic system is the perfect solution to these growing problems.
Our EBB and Flow hydroponics system is more suitable for small commercial grows on family farms than traditional grows, with a vertical design that improves space utilization, expands the growing area, and increases yields. The hydroponic system is perfect for sustainable farming as it saves up to 30% of water due to its water recycling system. Automated irrigation reduces labor inputs for manual watering, reduces operational errors, and significantly saves labor costs. An even supply of water and nutrients allows microgreens to grow evenly and accelerate their growth cycle, producing multiple harvests to generate revenue.
Each planting layer has an independent valve control, which can be controlled according to the characteristics of the crop, and flexibly adapted to a variety of different vegetables. At the same time, if there is a need to expand the scale of cultivation, the modularity of the hydroponic system allows customers to quickly deploy by simply adding modules, reducing the concern of re-investment, which is very favorable from the perspective of business operations.
