Mauritius client begins backyard hydroponic project with hydroponic tower system

2025-09-30

With its warm climate and abundant sunshine, Mauritius offers ideal conditions for hydroponic farming, making it increasingly popular locally as a choice for many home gardens and small farms. This Mauritian customer is no exception. Seeing the growing adoption of hydroponic technology, he decided to try our hydroponic tower system and launch a hydroponic project in his backyard.

The customer purchased our 8P10 Pineapple Tower and 12P15 High-Density Hydroponic Tower as samples, planning to grow lettuce and bok choy. Given Mauritius's high temperatures, the customer particularly valued the hydroponic towers' resistance to intense sunlight and durability. Our hydroponic towers are manufactured from food-grade PP material, featuring exceptionally thick construction that resists aging. Compared to common hydroponic towers on the market, ours offer superior quality, effectively resisting UV rays and making them ideal for outdoor or greenhouse growing in areas with intense sunlight. This durable design minimizes the hassle of frequent replacements or repairs caused by short tower lifespans, ensuring the long-term stable operation of hydroponic projects.

Another advantage of the hydroponic tower system is its highly efficient water utilization. Compared to traditional agriculture, the system precisely delivers water and nutrients directly to plant roots, significantly reducing water waste—by up to 90%. This not only minimizes watering frequency but also ensures every vegetable receives adequate moisture and nutrients, which is particularly crucial in water-scarce regions like Mauritius.

Additionally, the hydroponic tower features automated irrigation and water recirculation systems, offering user-friendly operation that eliminates the tedious watering and fertilization tasks associated with traditional soil-based farming. Furthermore, the hydroponic system minimizes soil-borne pests and diseases, freeing customers from concerns about common insect infestations and soil-borne pathogens, thereby ensuring healthy vegetable growth!

After several months of successful planting, the customer expressed great satisfaction with the hydroponic tower's performance. Vegetables grew lush, healthy, and consistently high-quality, particularly lettuce and bok choy, which yielded abundantly with excellent flavor. To expand operations further, the customer purchased an additional 20 units of the 6P10 hydroponic tower model, planning to transition from small-scale cultivation to a larger commercial hydroponic farm.
